From the above table about accidents in a Chinese city in 2005 inform us that there are five main reasons casused accidents. The first one is drivers turning left without due care, which resulted in the largest number of accidents-608 cases, and the percentage rise over 2004 is 10%. The second one is driving traveling to close to other vehicles, there are 411 cases happened and percentage rise is 9%. The third one is pedstrians crossing roads carelessly, which caused 401 accidents and percentage raise 12%. The forth one is drivers driving under the influence of ahcohol, there are 281 accidents occurred and what's more suprising is the percentage rise is 15%, which is the highest rise compared with other causues list above. The last one is drivers failing to give a signal, caused 264 accidents and is also the only fallen percentage in five casues. I think at least three possible reasons caused below data happened. The first one thing, with the development of automobile industry and the increased demand from our people, more and more people buy cars and drive them to work place or travel outside. There are usually traffic jam in Chinese big cities. The second one is some drivers got the driving license but they still had no sufficent driving skills, they sometimes violated traffic regulations such as not giving a sign or answer their mobile during the driving.The third one, in my opinion, is that our traffic regulation is not perfect by now. Many drivers only get publish on the money by traffic polices when they drove the vehicles on the road after drinking.
