The past two decades has witnessed the racing of our economy with a rapid development of the technology. Many people take the improvement of life quality as granted due to these changes. However, this is far from the truth. More and more people are feeling not as happy as the previous generation. The reasons are complicated and propound. First and foremost, the competition today is much more fierce than ever before. The job market is so narrow that a lot of fresh graduates can not land a job. Everyone is rushing and hushing, and spares little time for their personal life. Second, the unhealthy life style of indoors man and indoors woman has gained a lot of popularity among city dwellers nowadays. It's of human's nature to get close to nature. If one stays indoors for a long time, he or she will feel tedious and moody. Last but not least, environmental pollution has bothered many people. This year Shanghai has been assailed by the pollution haze. Everyone has to wear mouse-muffle outdoors and outdoor exercises can not be carried out. As far as I'm concerned, measures should be taken to tackle these problems. First, colleges should equip students the skills for them to find a job rather than cramming students with obscure theories that do not make any sense in real life. Thus, graduates can better suit the demands of the market. Second, sports should be encouraged and awareness of a healthy life style should be raised. Young people should go outdoors more often without being immersed in the visual world. Third, green technology must be developed to protect the environment. Varied alternative energy resources should be developed to replace the oil, gas and coal. By strengthening our connection to the nature and learning to self-relief, the quality of our lives can be improved.
