When I was achild, my parents and teachers told me that a good baby should always tell thetruth. They told me that honesty is the most beautiful virtue. However, now, I realize that facts are not always bright and always telling the truth sometimes cannot maintain relationship between people but break it. In this modern society,we will face many unexpected occasions. Some occasions call for truth, while under the other occasions, lies or white lies are of great significant. As we all know,friends should be sincere to each other and we all understand that often truth is offending and may not be a very nice thing to both hear or say. Thus, when my friends make mistakes, I would prefer to tell the truth. Even though my friend might misunderstand me and even blame me at first, I believe that he or she will eventually understand what I am concerned about and feel pleasure for what I have done for them. Telling the truth will deepen our friendship. Sometimes telling the truth is not the best choice and lies could be good for some people. For example, if one of our best friends get a very terrible disease, such as cancer, even thought we should be honest to our friends, I would prefer to tell my friend that everything will be all right rather than tell the truth because it would be too cruel to my friend. In this very occasion, a white lie could courage my friend go through difficulties and might even save his or her life. In a word, it depends that telling the truth or telling lies. If you are a wise man, you will make wise choices.
