It is not easy for a person to be a success. I think the most important character that a person can have to be successful in life is self-discipline. As my opinion, self-discipline can help a person pay more attantion to somwthing that important to him. For example, when a student is doing homework, if he has a good self-discipline he will do what he should do without doing any other thing. It's also same for adults. If a person is involved working or studying he will be successful easily.Without it, people will be easily distracted, finding it hard to get focused. And that is surely not be helpful to get successful, one the one hand. On the other hand, self-discipline can help a person to overcome difficulties one meets in their work or studies, and that is very important if one wants to be successful. For example, without self-discipline, peope can get easily discouraged whenever there is a problem. But we can not avoid problems. For a student, he or she can always meet some difficult homework, which takes a lot of time and energy to finish; For an adult, he or she can always have difficulties at work, be it getting fired for doing something wrong or facing something extremely hard to handle. They all need to overcome those difficulties before they can be successful. So, self-discipline is important to people if they want to be succesful. That's all.
