As my opinion, self-discipline can help a person pay more attantion to somwthing that important to him. For example, when a student is doing homework, if he has a good self-discipline he will do what he should do without doing any other thing. It's also same for adults. If a person is involved working or studying he will be successful easily.Without it, people will be easily distracted, finding it hard to get focused. And that is surely not be helpful to get successful, one the one hand.
