Saving money is a traditional topic among the university students who do not have incomes. Many of us, as university students, may think twice before purchasing what we like. Some critics doubt that whether it is a good way to be a smart consumer. In my opinion, the answer is definitely yes. First of all, developing a good habit of saving money is able to release our parents' burden. The money we spend is our parents' wage rather than our own money. Although it is common in China that parents need to afford children's education fees, we students can't waste their money in buying expensive clothes or makeups. Secondly, through saving money we can make full use of our money to do something important. Sometimes we may be seriously ill, it seems impossible to ask our parents for help on time. Consequently, we had better have our own account. From my perspective, when we have no ways to seek fortune, we have to know how to save money in order to solve unexpected problems. Being a wise consumer and making a balance of cost and income are of significance in our life.
