Nowadays, the fact the not all areas of life are in continuing progress, which is in contrary of what human race believed a hundred years ago. I have to admit that education and technology are the two main areas which human race has made, while areas such as environment and crime are what fall behind in continuing progress. It is undoutble that human race has got great success in the field of education and technology. Speaking of education, it is said that increasingly more people have got the chance to go to university compared with the number of people a hundred years ago. Also, teachers were bachelor's degree at that time, whereas they usually get PHD these days. In technology, it is much more convenient for people to communicate than before. Writing letters were the most common form in the past, which takes lots of time. However, with the developing of the Internet, the speed of our life has been escalated. Nevertheless, there are some areas which stop developing. Take environment as example. It can be seen that the environment has been destoryed seriously with the development of cities. Everywhere has got warmer, which is known as the Greenhouse effect and disaster happen more frequently, like flood and earthquake. Crime is also one of the areas which cannot be made continue progress. The crime rate has increased due to the deep gap between the rich and the poor. In conclusion, not all areas can develop at the same time and there should be a balance among every field because all of them are very important to us.
