Advertising encourage people to buy in quantity rather than promoting its quality. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

老题。广告出题种类两种,一种为大范围的(易写),如广告的好与坏;一种为考察细节的(难写),如来自竞争公司的广告对消费者的影响,而此次考试属于后者。所以大家要加强审题练习。

In my view, it is difficult to say that advertising encourage people to buy in quantity rather than promoting its quality. Because the important message that advertising want to tell the customers are this time the new one is better than the older ones in its quality.So when we follow the advertising and buy one new goods, we also believe that we buy it because it has a high quality, which means it will have more functions or more fashion style, and more expensive. So I think the function of advertising in our modern society is not only to encourage people to buy more goods but also tell them what is high quality and what kind of lives you should have through buying and using these new goods.It means to promoting the quality is one important reason to persuade people to buy a new one.But the problem is that the new one is really in high quality which would help people live happier. The answer is no. More functions or more fashion outlook seems have no direct connection with the quality of our everyday lives.
