At this age of information, electronic products are seemingly increasingly widespread. Meanwhile, some advocates predict that e-book would take the place of printed books as it becomes a trend. Moreover, they assume that printed book could no longer exist in 20 years from now for the advantages like portable, massive capacity for books and more up-to-date. Nevertheless, from my standpoint, I still maintain the idea that it’s unable to be substitute in quite a long time. At the outset, compared to e-book, it does no harm to our eyes and it’s more convenient to take notes. Imagine what a person would feel if he or she is faced with a bright screen for more than 2 hours, undisputedly, their eyes become sore. By contrast, reading traditional paper-made book provides a more comfortable experience. Also, with printed book we can easily write down whatever we hope to bear in mind or temporal thoughts while reading. When it comes to e-book, it is an unattainable point. Subsequently, as e-book have to be charged, it could cause a variety of inconvenience. For one thing, it would be embarrassed when the e-book runs out of charge. More or less, this would upset our emotion as well as lower study efficiency. On the contrary, once the characters are printed on paper media, the media would never go away just like a loyal and steadfast mate. As a final point, in terms of my personal perspective, I love the concrete and substantial feel of printed books and have the habit of collecting books. In the mean time, I believe that there exists a large group of people have somewhat similarities as me. Anyway, the content of e-book is virtual, what if the system happens to crash or the page you are just reading at on the internet asks for an added fee. This, unavoidably, could be really frustrating. Consequently, from what I have mentioned above, it is apparent that the traditional printed books have more advantages and are superior to e-book. In other words, it still gain the upper hand at present and I hold the belief that it can’t be substitute for a long time.
