Fast as the society developing, many people hold on that, for us living in the present, it is useless to learn about the past, in my view, this opinion is absolute ridiculous and ignorance. Learning the past,firstly, enable all of us to have knowledge about ourselves. The past, especially the history, just like a mirror, we, by learning the past,can clearly know our drawbacks and shortcomings, for example, comparing with the methods of development in the past, it is useful for political makers to find a suitable and right way to develop our country, what's more, we can be instilled high moral values by learning the merits of our ancestors, being impressed by the arduous life of Li Bai，one of the most famous poets in China's history, we, especially for the students, can be motivated by his endeavors. It is our responsibility to inherit what our ancestors left and to make our offspring inherit them as well, so it is necessary for every of us to learn the past. Learning the past, we can have a good knowledge of the meaning of what our ancestors left, for example, the historic meaning of the arts ,the old architectures, only we learn the past can we understand them perfectly. What we learn from the past for instance the culture of the various dynasties, the custom and traditions what our ancestors left, the history lessons needed to know and so on ,is so precious and valuable that we have the responsibility and obligation to teach our offspring, so we need to have good knowledge of the past. Admittedly, we need to spend more energy and vigor in learning the advanced science and technology, however, as long as we pay more attention to the past, for example, the technology of the old architectures, the history lessons of the past, there are increasing numbers of inspirations being offered to us to make great progress. To conclude, it is crucial and indispensable for us to learn the past.
