People prefer travel to other countries for their holidays instead of staying home, obviously, this change benefits from the developing of the new technology. Some people believe this is a good trend while some others claim is not a good way. In my point of view, I think the positive effects of this phenomenon outweight the negative ones. Of course, spending more time overseas benefit society and people themselves in many ways. First of all, people can get special experience by traveling around the world. For example, when western people go to eastern countries, they start to get to know Asian culture, eat different food, and most importantly, they experiance a different lifestyle. Secondly, this trend can improve mutual understanding between different races, countries, and cultures. Certainly, there is no better way for people to improve mutual understanding than make them live together, share society, and meet day by day. This is more vivid than read from books or watch on TV shows. Last but not least, overseas holidays really soothe mind and set people free from life pressure, by simply changing living environment, changing food, having a hike, or breathing different air. However, there are some negative effects which could happened also. Firstly, people might have financial issue due to they have spend a lot on their way. Moreover, more tourism might cause local pollution which is really harmful, such as more wastes, more traffic, more food requirement. One of the big issues could be conflicts between local residents and the tourists. In other words, the drinks, drugs, and some fancy entertainments might bring troubles to local societ, and the residents do not like these new things. In conclusion, travel world wide for holidays certainly is a significant improve for us. Meanwhile, people should also realize that there are differences between cultures and countries, which we must have some respect for it.
