In terms of the question that do you believe your snap judgments, the answer varies from people to people. Some say they deeply believe their intuition when they have to make a urgent decision. But others state they should trust this feeling because it's easier for human to make a mistake when they have to make a quick judgement to solve a emergent situation. As far as I am concerned, it should depend on case by case. First of all, no one could deny, in most cases, there is good chance for human brain to make the false judgment at an emergent situation because of lack of a second thought.Due to limited time, you have no time to consider the thing very carefully, we cannot analyze the thing from a very fully understanding view. So we may overlook some critical elements which may have great influence on whether this judgment works or not. Furthermore, we will undergo great pressure when we are at very emergent condition. If we try to make a judgment at this time, our mind may be severely interfered by this great pressure especially when we know the consequence brought by false judgments. I believe anyone will go through this experience if you are taking a important test while there are just 1 minute left, under this huge pressure, how you can make sure the decision you make is right one. Some people may choose to stay still and pray god, while others may randomly select a answer without carefully thinking. How can you believe the judgment you've made at this time? Maybe the only thing the most people try to do is just to pray for god's help. However, although in most cases, the snap judgment isn't worth trusting, it doesn't necessarily mean snap judgment people make in urgent situation is always wrong. They is always trying to fight against with the fear at the bottom of their heart. They manage to keep calm no matter how emergent the situation is. In order to do this, it's not easy.
