With the development of science and technology, we need pay attention to pollution which is more and more serious. Government plays an important part in reducing pollution. Therefore, government must take lots of measures to solve the problems. Firstly, as we all know, cars influence air pollution to a great extent. In 2003, the government of London started to collect congestion charges when personal cars are drove into some areas at the specific time (Noah Joseph, 2008). As far as I am concerned, congestion charge not only has an effect on heavy traffic, but also reduces the number of exhaust emission of cars. At the same time, government can use these taxes to develop buses and subways. In this way, the number of using personal cars will be much less further. In addition, Japan launched some rules about PM2.5, especially had strict limitation to particles discharged by diesel engine, automobile in Tokyo in 2003 (Gu ShengZu, 2012). There is no doubt that the Chinese government has taken some measures to reduce pollution. For example, it is demanded that sellers shouldn’t offer free disposable plastics any longer in China (Qymz, 2013). If everyone decreases to use a disposable plastic bag because of a large population in China, it will alleviate serious pollution (Lu Shufeng, 2013). Indeed, it limits the Chinese to use plastic bags. In the supermarket, a number of people use their own reusable shopping bags. It benefits to save money and reduce the white pollution that just taking a bag when we go shopping. What is significant that China strengthens to develop some renewable energies such as solar power. We all know that solar energy is so convenient, saving money and energy and reducing pollution. There are large populations in China and China is trapped in a world of mass production and routine assembly, therefore pollution is much more serious. Thus, in my mind, the Chinese government must reduce pollution as far as possible.
