Urbanization in China With the acceleration of the globalized economy and the development of the technology, more and more countries have step into information society. Nowadays the world would measure a country accord to its strength of economy, policy and culture. China, as a developing country, is making a great and rapid changes and apparently, this mythical nation have shown their amazing breakthrough for the whole world. Firstly, the definition of the urbanization is about that the social process whereby cities grow and societies become more urban. There is no doubt that urbanization is inevitable in the cities. Especially in China, a country is in the possession of modern transformation, which was a agrarian nation and most of area in China are rural area. Ever since the nineteenth century, China has been experiencing rapid development. The issue of urbanization has long been inevitable trend. But for the past decade or so ,a massive urbanization and development have let us witness a lot of events and changes of these cities. We know that China is a populous country and in the past several decades, because the historical reasons, China developed behind the world and most Chinese are peasantries. But now because the government strove to develop the education and spent a lot of money in it. The illiteracy rate in China among the new generation is under one percent. In cities, 80 percent of kids go to college. But we are also facing an aging China with a population above 65 years old coming up with seven-point-some percent this year, and about to be 15 percent by the year of 2030. However, some develop cities like Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing have more work opportunities. There are a increasing number of migrant workers who went to these countries from the rural areas. So these cities have a lot of serious problems, like polluted air, polluted water these environmental problems and cause the skyrocketing housing prices. Some people had to share a limited space. Some special parts of the cities, we called them “urban villages”, which means some parts like a develop villages in these bursting areas of these cities. In these “urban villages”, we see that the houses built close to close. Secondly, it is about the environment and competitive. Actually, there are still some Chinese have not the good manners and some enterprises develop at the cost of environment. More and more rivers are polluted. Facing the populous situation, traffic ancients are going on increasingly. People have the pressures of family and social, even the students have to face the competitive. Others problems like soaring commodity prices and expensive expenditures of medians In summary, urbanization in China cause many problems on one hand. On the other hand, we should deny the benefits of the urbanization, This is the essential step in the process of human development and progress. All we can do is to look reality in the face, promote the development of our country while should protect our environment. Create a win-win situation, only in this way can our society would become more harmonious and enjoy a high level of civilization.
