Is it wise to make friends online? Your exposure to the mass media makes you familiar with the undeniable fact that a multitude of people tend to make friends online. According to the authoritative research released on the Daily's Newspaper,on the ground of the internet's convenience and efficiency, a growing number of people, especially the young are inclined to make friends through the Internet. It's obvious that on-line communicating make a big difference in contribution to people's relationship. For one thing, with numerous young people' s attendance, they are presented with more opportunities to get acquainted with unfamiliar people as many as possible, which can not only assist them in expend the circle of friends, but also is beneficial to find a friend when you are in need of help. For another thing, making friends online is not so limited as make friends face to face. To be more specific, people can freely choose the time to get in touch with their friends; by contrast, there are too many requirements for real appointment that people have to decide a special time or a wonderful place. However, what I 'm bound to stress is that we can't fail to recognize its noticeable negative aspects. The first side-effect which flashes into mind is that our original relationship is becoming cooler than ever before. Needless to say, when you are engrossed in computer, you are losing the chance to meet with your friends in real touch, undoubtedly, no matter how frequent the talks between you and your friends, it can never take the place of real communication. Only when you see your friends eye to eye, can you grasp your friends' thoughts through nonverbal expressions except the dead words. Another noteworthy reason is that the potential threat exists in the Internet becoming an increasingly serious issue. Since the wide use of Internet, some evil people driven by personal needs, make the advantage of it to cheat others. As you can see, there are too many lively examples to list, such as quiet a few dreaming girls have been hurt by the disguised men, who aim to the money. To sum up, from my objective perspective, I may safely reach the conclusion, making friends online is not as wise as most young people think. That is to say, when we consider the friendship made online, we'd better take some necessary factors into account.
