Biosphere is fundamental to human civilization. However, the growing and the long lasting dreadful power of humans have been kept pushing other organic beings to extinction. In fact, we have not choice but to take measures to protect the ecosystem pyramid being at stake, otherwise, we will be on the verge of extinction ourselves. I disagree with the pessimistic views of to late to do anything about this, nothing can stop human from making changes if we are really prepared. According to theory of evolution, it's normal to have some species died out and new species bore. The mass extinction happened quite a few times in earth's life history, but lives are still varied today. The resilience and resistance of biosphere is far more strong than we may expected. On the other hand, to maintain a sustainable development, the environment capacity is what we need to considered. We have scientist assessed and monitored all kind of ecosystems along with its species dynamic. Politicians and environmentalist gathered and managed to combat all kind of environment problems from biodiversity to global change. Public awareness of protecting mother nature is unprecedented. All kind of nature reserves being set up to keep those endangered species and their habitat. So this is a question about whether we should do ourselves a favor to make a better future or to give up our chance and to lose this beautiful planet. As a responsible planet citizen, I will definitely do my part to protect the land I stand on.
