How to be a Smart Consumer With the ever-accelerated pace of economy and commodity industry, it is generally acknowledged that we now have more accesses to spend money than ever. Nevertheless, what modern society gives us are not only material comforts but many problems. When we pay much for our necessities or even luxuries then get much released we surely owe many thanks to present-day consumption. But will undue consumption really give us relief? Is there some other ways to be a really smart consumer? In my opinion, spending money in a proper way can be a great method to help us to be smart consumers. Spending money in a proper way means we don’t have to restrain spending too much. On the contrary, we also shouldn’t waste money. Given that one who spends too much may become a shopaholic inevitably, one can hardly get real relief from undue consumption. What one can get from it may be just comforts for only a while. Once he want to get comfort again, he has to spend much again, and this is called a vicious circle. He will become slave for money.. On the other hand, those who restrain too much, save too much are also not wise. For instance, if one really likes something in the shopping mall, but he finally decides not to buy it for it is not necessity. Will most of us think he is wise? I don’t think so. The invention of money makes our life easier not harder. Oftentimes we buy things with money to facilitate or beautify our lives. But if we don’t want to pay for something that we really like, how can we become smart consumer? For saving undue, we are also slaves. What money should and do give us is easier life. At least we buy necessities or what we like using money. Undue spending and saving both can lead to unhappy ending. And if we want to be smart consumers, we’d better spend money in a proper way.
