College education plays an indispensable role in helping individuals to live a better life and fueling a nation's economy. Reports show that a large proportion of high school graduates who are from humble families, fail to pay their tuition or living expenses. Finally they gave up. As a result, some people are calling for the governments to offer free university education to every citizen. This essay will focus on the practicability of this proposal, and I'd also like to present my own opinion on this. Tertiary education cost is considerable, just like medical insurances. Based on government's finance situation, it's far too ideal to advocate the free college education. There might be some exceptional examples like Finland, which has some unique advantages such as a very small population and abundant resources, and high tax rate to finance the expenditure. Since China is still a developing country, meanwhile who has a huge population, it'll take time to realize that target. Virtually, the government has taken various measures to promote college education. For those could't afford the tuition, public school had set up green way to ensure they the choice of deferred payment and students' loan. Besides, financial support might be provided for the needy students. Personally, I think it's better to divert some students to receive vocational education. The governments should promote the development of vocational school, as what Germany do, to tackle the talent shortage and to relieve the pressure of students.
