I agree. Since attending a university is a sign of adulthood, undergraduates should be independent to prepare for their career during the college education. Compared with campus life, family life do them no good in terms of being independent and adapting to society. There are lots of things to do on the campus which can't rely on family members. First take study as an example, which requires a lot of teamwork. Students have to learn to deal with the pressure coming from study load, to tackle these problems by cooperating with professors and classmates. Second, life on campus is self-spaced, which can practice your ability to arrange your time effectively. Third, there are different people from different background that you will encounter, which will give you the chance to learn how to communicate with others, who will be your friends, who will be your lover. On the contrary, to live with your family will not encourage your sense of independent, cause you are still rely on your family for food, accommodation. Your life circle restrict you from getting to know deeper about your classmates, which may help you at present or after graduation. You may think less about your future, career planing, love, friendship, ambition, and so forth. You'll be ending up in an isolated situation. Based on the above arguments, I think it's crystal clear about the advantages of campus life for college students.
