Thousands of advertisements spring up in our life no matter we turn on TV, surf the Internet, walk on the street and even go to a public toilet. Like it or not, It has become a part of modern society, playing a important role in our life and influencing our living style to some extent. They firstly direct our consumption. Consumption is our main social behavior after work which connects each individual together in a large commercial system called "market" where all the merchants try to persuade consumers to purchase their products. Facing a variety of products and services, it is easy to fall into "choosing dilemma" which leaves us at sea. Smartly designed ads can help us out by telling us the main traits of a certain product so that we can choose the one that satisfies us the most. In this term, advertisement save our time by assist us in making a relatively wise choice. However, Some advertisements are too persuasive that we follow whatever it announces and consequently make an unwise trading. A case in point is that many girls buy mountains of skirts that they will never put on. The extraordinary power of the advertisement tempts many merchants to attach too much importance on it, rather than the quality of the product. The case is more detrimental if the advertisement offers fake information. In order to avoid the detriment of advertisement, government should exert potent measure to reassure the authenticity of each advertisement. further more, mass media should be responsible for the ads they broadcasted. They can be accused by offering fake advertisement. Besides, the main measure is to level up the judgment of the customers. They should have the common sense of the product advertised and keep calm and sane when handing out their credit cards.
