Nowadays, many people, especially the aged, would like to choose to live in a rural area to enjoy the pleasant and comfortable village life there, while some people may think that living around a lot of people can widen their social circles. I agree with the view that claim that living in a rural area is better than living around a lot of people. Living in a rural area invites more personal space. As we know, living around a lot of people offers people almost no individual space, for the distance between their adjacent neighbors and them is too close. Some people even feel like that they are under supervision--having a party might be known around the neighborhood the next day. On the contrary, people living in a rural area is freer. Plus, people living in a rural area does not even need to worry that making noise bothers their neighbors, for their neighbors can hardly hear anything. Therefore, it would be wise for a youth who likes rock music very much and even practices it a lot to choose a house in the country. That can be why the rural houses are becoming more and more welcomed. What's more, people who live in a rural area are less likely to have conflicts with other people than those who live around a lot of people. As the saying goes, it becomes a small society with conflicts wherever there are people. My friend Jack lives in an apartment building. He often complains to me about all the fights started because of some meaningless trifles, for example, last week his new neighbor quarreled with his family for he could not stand their pet dog barking in the night even though he knew that they could not help it. However, this never happened to me who live in the country. Sometimes distance even makes relationship among people closer instead of destroying it. Being far away from each other makes people have fewer chances to quarrel, so living in a rural area is more welcomed than living around a lot of people. Even though living in a rural area brings you fewer opportunities of getting jobs, making new friends, etc., it can also make you enjoy "me time" and you don't need to care about conflicts that you ever had in life in the city. That's why I think living in a rural area is better than living around a lot of people.
