The diagrams above show data for a flu epidemic in a large country town in 1996.The bar chart indicates deaths form flu of each gender.The pie chart depicts the percentage of four age groups who consist of the most risky female recipients of new vaccine.The line chart gives the number of cases of flu from February to December for both male and female. We can learn from the bar chart that the flu cause more female deaths than male.No male died during March to May, while a female died of the flu during this period.During June to August ,the flu killed two males and five females.Perhaps the higher female deaths can partially account for the experimental flu vaccine on females only. It can be seen from the pie chart that of the most risky female recipients of new vaccine groups,more than one third (35%) are those aged people who were over 65 years old. Followed by those not given the vaccine(28%) and babies or children (24%).Hospitalized people merely consist 13% of the population. According to the line chart, there were more females infected than males. Besides, it is clear that the vaccine had a positive effect on the flu.The new cases of flu reported dropped from its peak of 3500 in June to 3000 in Jult, 2800 in August before leveling off at 2500 for the rest of the year.
