TV program is so common today, but the concerns that the impacts it may exert on children hasn't rested yet. It's very obvious that TV program can have both positive and negative impacts on children, the key is how to assure that, children can get he most of the TV program. Things like smoking, violence, pornography is sometimes inevitable in the TV show. Since children on the one hand have strong curiosity to the unknown world and tend to imitate what they saw, but on the other hand they don't have the ability to distinguish between good and bad or can't be responsible for their behavior, it's inappropriate to let them be exposed to these scenes. Also, these scenes will be bad for them, may ruin the efforts of the parents, torture the mental health and value of the children. So, it's important to have the parents to monitor the children's choice of TV watching. The government should censor and classify the content of TV programs, make sure that they are all healthy and beneficial. As parents, keep child from TV watching for the sake of bad influence seems bizarre. Because TV offers an outlet for child to broaden their horizon, in addition to the schooling and family lives. TV program for children serves as a medium of communication, in the form of new topic, new idea, model for imitating. It is so effective in teaching and amusing the children with a lot of fun, which seems indispensable in children's life. Based on that, it's unwise to isolate children away from media culture in this digital era. In sum, I don't think we need to be so sensitive about the potential impacts of TV program to children, because we all grown up with the companion of TV program, the key role was always played by the parents, who influenced us the most, not the TV programs.
