Many people think cheap air travel should been couraged because it gives ordinary people freedom to travel further. 本题是旧题，与2008年6月14日的考题完全相同，与2010年4月10日（见下）的考题也几乎一致。属于科技类与环保类的混合话题，题型为Discursive(Argumentation)。值得一提的是，最近考老题的次数较多，上一次考试（2011年3月19日）的考题与2008年11月15日的完全相同，因此提醒各位考生一定要重视对历年考题的复习。有意思的是，今天欧洲考区的话题同样是科技类与环保类的混合题型，同样是2008年的考过的旧题。题目是科技改变农产品产量与质量的利弊（详见本文最后）。
【话题评价】
环保类写作话题题库中有一个小分支是关于“交通工具”的。从2003年至今，这个分支话题共出现8次，其中2次是问汽车的利弊，6次飞机是否应该被限制（其余4道话题见下）。这些话题的基本思路都是相同的，缺点主要从环保角度去考虑。当然每个话题有不同的侧重点，同学需要认真对待。

Today, the soaring popularity of flight tickets that on sale has made people biased on the airplanes when people are on the selection of ways of travelling. However, the corresponding environmental concerns due to air flying too frequent have been immersed in conflicts as a result. In my opinion, there are more benefits over the drawbacks at the moment. Personally, it should be admitted that cheaper air travelling has indeed brought a number of advantages. First and foremost, as a utilitarian method in promoting travelling, tickets on discount could incitement the expenditure on travelling, this does not only benefit the tourist business, but also expend the view of the general public and the popularity of some remote area would be augmented. In addition and the convenience of airplane is apparent as it travels without the routes were already constructed, such as tracks for trains or roads for cars. Up to now, people can reach the majority of the destinations in the world, also at a higher speed, by air travelling, which can never be substituted with current technology. By contrast, the negative influence of air travelling at a lower price to the ecological environment cannot be ignored. Airplanes are travelling on the air, with larger number and higher frequency, this could lead to the consumption of great deal of fuels and oils, and then the carbon dioxide would be overly discharged into the atmosphere. Moreover, the overcrowded population on travelling, during some festivals, could result in extremely heavy pressure on the local environment. From the perspective of the environmentalists and people who are eco-friendly, the airplane should be controlled to some extent, in terms of preventing the determents to the earth. From the examples I have mentioned above, it is reasonable that the quantity of cheaper air flying should be declined, to avoid the overcrowded population at one place. However, the convenience of air travelling has been witnessed, and the public should deserve this service, which is an approach to improve their living standards.
