Dialects Are Not Acceptable in Public Places There is a well-known fact that our China is a very large country which has 56 nations and many provinces. There is another fact that each province has their own dialects. Although the dialect is a special Chinese culture, we can not use it in public places. I have an army of reasons behind my view, and I choose some of them to explain. The first and foremost thing is that there is so many dialects that we can not understand each dialect . If we want to use dialect to communicate ,we have to do a very hard work :learn every dialect. Only if we achieve this can we get the goal to use dialect in public places. Language is a tool of communicating , if the language we speak is not understood by others in public places , the language loose its function. There is further thing we should consider that in public places we should use the language that most people can understand. It is a respect to others. What's more , our country is advocating that we should be a civilized citizen who speak mandarine .The mandarine is the language that all Chinese can apprehend , and being a qualified citizen we ought to use mandarine in public places. We can draw the conclusion that we should not use dialects in public places for the reason that dialect is not understood by everyone, and it is also marching the opposite way of our country's culture policy. We should use mandarine in public places to build a harmonious society.
