Some people think that spending in college wastes time, while others consider that attending college will benefit themselves in future. In my opinion, adolescents who succeed in their academic study in college demonstrate their plenty professional knowledge, more employment opportunity and potential fat salary in their career. College education instils you the expertise in a concrete area such as accounting or computer. Students in high school usually receive fundamental and superficial knowledge. For example, a chemistry course in senior high school only teaches some basic reaction rules between materials. After students learn some basic concept in one field, they will explore one more detailed branch in this field such as chemistry develops into organic and analytic directions in college. With four years of professional courses, graduates have mastered deeper knowledge than high school students. Nowadays, jobs tend more specific, which ,even general work, require the specified knowledge to some extent in a certain field. A survey published in New Time newspaper illustrates that two thirds of jobs demand employees having college or above education. If you look at current job search advertises, you alway find a item at the bottom saying “prefer bachelor or master degree”. If you have no such diploma to show your college education whereas other competitors have, you even have no opportunity to join the first interview. In current society, the salary is proportional to people’s education level. Employees who contribute their technology in work might bring more profit to their company. Of course, they obtain correspondent reward by high salary. In Microsoft such as a high payment company, a statistics from its internal investigation shows that ninety percent of employees have at least bachelor degree. It is hard to imagine that a person with only high school education can be hired in Microsoft company. Admittedly, choosing working instead of attending a college is not a bad choice. At least, the earlier adaptation to society makes you independent on the finance and spirit which reduce the parent’s pressure. However, I think that going to college is a smarter decision so order to create more prosperous future.
