Advertising discourages people from being different individuals by making us all want to do the same and look the same. Do you agree or disagree?

题目讲解:

题义理解上有那么一点难!但是总之都跟广告有关。

广告使人们都看上去一样,也就是广告的宣传效应会影响人们的消费行为 manipulate people's buying behaviour然后掀起一些特定品牌的时尚create fashion。也就是去写广告的影响力会使一些brands垄断市场monopolise the market。
但是广告其实并不会使人们都一样,我们不能低估人们对于产品质量和个人喜好的理性underestimate people's rationality to products quality and the influence of personal preference.
这么一分析,还是我们说的广告经典题,广告到底能不能影响人们的消费!

In modern industry, advertisement plays an important role of attractting public attention and spreading the information of products. Successful advertisement eventually let people spend their money and have the product. Some people think that advertising have made too many similar products being selled to the public, which makes us look similar or even behave in a similar way. For example, before smart phone is being introduced, there are plenty of topics to talk or things to do when people get together. But, now the picture is quite the opposite. When people get together, they usually stand or sit there still, garbing a smart phone in their hand and rubbing the screen up and down without even a saying a single word. This situation should be attribute to the advertisement. I disagree with such point of view. Because the purpose of advertising is just to make people know the product and persuade them to buy it. It is the customers who finally decides whether they are going to have one or not. The root cause of making poeple similar is the similar products not the advertisement. In my opinion, the only problem of advertisment is that it is so creative and successful which let too many products be selled to innocent pople that is never going to be used. This finally causes unnecessary resource waste. Therefore, in the light of this, excessive advertising should be discouraged.
