In recent years,whether prison is efficient to decrease the crime rate has triggered a serious of controversy.Some people claim that punishment given by the prison would be the most useful way .Unfortunately, I do not find my agreement in this regard. Admittedly,those who argue that sent the people who committed a crime to prison is a wisely method have their own reasons to some extend.To commence with,people who do the wrong should be punished,thus the other people could distinguish the right from the wrong.In addition,in prison people would change the inappropriate habit,this is due to the fact that people under the supervisor would have less possible to do the things harmful. However punishment will not eventual change a person ,and personally I am still committed to the idea that education is the most fundamental way,mainly based on the following facts.Initially,educated by school,rather than prison, will be effected in advance.Morality education taken by the school will make people know the negative aspects before committed a crime.Moreover,education will prevent people from breaking the law in fundamental.People who return to the society will be more likely to commit the crime again if they are not educated well.Education can help us to strength the self-discipline and control our behavior when we want to break the law. In brief, having take all the evidence into account , I propose educate the children in advance will be the most useful method to decrease the crime rate.
