Art plays a pivotal role in life, and encourages people to develop. It is essential for government, who is responsible for promoting a better life of its citizens, to support the art. Therefore, i believe that government money should support more important things rather than artists, despite of some drawbacks. The main problem of government to support art is the limited capital. Government fund raised from tax revenue should return to citizens in terms of activities which can improve the life quality, such as technology, education and medicine. Definitely, building facilities, providing social services and doing research can obviously raise people's life level, but these can only meet physical demand rather than mental demand. Thus, it is necessary for government to invest in art. In the first place, people have kinds of demand more than material needs. Art has been an effective way to express emotions and thoughts, dating to initial society. The inactivity in art will slow down the development mentally, scientifically and economically. with prospecting culture and art, a society always be highly developed. Besides, art and culture is a bond for country's connection, for its regional feature. Last but not least, providing multitudes views to observe the world, art can culture an individual's creativity and innovation. Without art, there will be a negative influence to society. Government should invest not only in facility service, but also in art. Thus, it can make a difference and create a healthy and boom society.
