In this paper, the author make the comparison of origin from Chinese and Western Traditional Festival, and insight into the main reason for the formation of china and western festivals, and then make comparative study on each traditional festival custom draw the differences between Chinese and western festivals. For example, to study the comparison of festival customs from the four groups: Spring Festival and Christmas, the hungry ghost festival and Halloween, Double Seventh Festival and valentine's day, the double ninth festival and Thanksgiving day, to learn the differences of Chinese and western traditional culture. In the last the author elaborate the phenomenon and reasons of the blend of Chinese and western festival culture.
