With the advanced techonology and increasing gowth in economy, it is not hard for individuals to access to Internet, which leads to increasing number of universities and college to offer qualification through long distant learing. That leads to a hot debate that whether the merits of its popularity overweight its dimerits or not. Form my point of view, long distant learning comes with more positive aspects. Long distant learning has some negtive aspects. On one hand, studying through Internet could let some students do other things like playing games instead of studying, as there are no teachers there. That would reduce their studying efficient. On the other hand, some students reflect that long distant study impedes opportunities to ask questions and reduce their interests in subjects. Because they are recorders with sound and pictures but no discussion between students and teachers. Therefore, long distant studying is dull and less effective. However, studying throught Internet would go with many merits. Firstly, it has more flexible. you can control the place and the time you want to study, which is very convenient for the group who need to work at daytime. Secondly, for some problems it comes. There are some resolutions, such as opening a discussion board on Internet for the less communication with teachers, and involving parents to supervise. Last but not least, long distant studying could be more vivd and interesting that going to school by using advanced techonoloy on Internet, like using video material. Hence, using computers for our studying could make study more flexible, interesting. To sum up, long distant study could increase our convenient such as increasing flexibility and increase efficient as more vivid material. Meantime it comes with traditional education characters-cmunicating with teachers with discussion boards.
