There are growing number of people choosing to have their holidays overseas, which leads to a hot debat. Some says it is a good idea to go aboard for a short time. While the other individuals point out that the demerits related to traveling overseas outweight than its merits. In the following, I will show the adventages and disadvantages it brings. There are three main positive aspects going with going overseas for holiday. Firstly, going to anther country for vacation could widen travellers' horizon. Especially, going to some developped countries, those travellers could experience different life style,culture and their high technology. Secondly, tourism absolutely could increase the revenue for countries, especially for developing countries. Besides that, it could create job opportunities for residents. Last but not least, travelling aboard could reduce misunderstanding between countries which could promote the peace of the world. In a word, travelling aboard could increase individual's horizon, increasing in comings for locals and promote peace. However, the negative aspects with overseas' holidays cannot be neglected. One of the obvious aspects is environmental contaminations, as the airplanes and long-distant ships should be used. Those increased transportation need fossil fuels and emit greenhouse gas. Another disadvantage is increased conflicts between individuals, due to deferent background and beliefs, for instance, discussing and eating pork in front of Muslims. Moreover, tourism could interrupt the local economy as more people turn to tourism or hospitality instead of farming and other industries. Hence, travelling aboard could do damages to locals and environment. To conclude, going overseas for holidays could come with benefits for local residents by increasing revenue and more jobs, and benefits for travellers by opening views. But it could also go with increasing environmental pollution and affect the harmony of the world.
