In modern society, increasing attentions are paid to education, especially for the older children, such as those in high schools and those in colleges. Some individuals agree that children should learn wide range subjects and develop knowledge. While, the opponents dictate that they should only focus on a small number do subjects in detail. On the point of my view, it is better to study wide ranges of knowledge. There are three main reasons why I am on the latter side. Firstly, studying wide range subjects could widen kids' horizon, as kids can access to various knowledge and can see the world from different aspects. Secondly, older children could have more time to make decisions about their future careers, which could affect their whole life. If making decision too early, they are easier to choose the wrong as they are still young and do not have too much life experience. Thirdly, apart from more knowledge, it could help to develop their brains as well, as more thinking could come with studying wide. A survey said that those studying wide have more connections between left side brain and right side brain than those studying narrow, which could affect kids' life further. Hence, studying wide range could develop the brain, knowledge and help to choose appropriate careers for them. However, I have to admit that it would go with more studying time, which in other hand could help kids to develop how to manage time. A good ability of managing time is necessary now. On the other hand, the opponents point out that it is not a good education method for those that already know their interests. Actually, studying wide range is not contradictory to develop their interest. They still can put more time to their interests and have their right to other knowledge. Generally speaking, studying wide range of subjects does not rip kids ' interests. To conclude, studying wide range bright about many merits, developing brains and more knowledge. Moreover, it I'd benefit for them to choose their careers. Although, it would go with some demerit related with time, which in the other hand could improve time managing ability. The most important thing is that studying wide range does not go against study narrowly.
