These days, the environmental issue is of great concern to the public. Authorities have taken actions to limit the number of private cars. But some people claim that we should limit the use of non-essential fights rather than that of cars since they both cause the same amount of pollution. I do not agree with it. In this essay, I will demonstrate my point of view from the following aspects. Admittedly, aeroplanes or cars have a detrimental influence upon ecosystem since it can exhaust poisonous gas on the air. However, it would bring other negative effects if people reduced non-essential flights such as travelling, tourist and so forth. For example, local employment rate strongly tied to tourists will be rapidly reduced if flights are cancelled. It is known that tourist plays a dispensable part of many cities throughout the world. Another reason why I disagree with this view is that flight has its unique merits. It goes without saying that aeroplane is the fastest public transport so far. To some extent, it really brings individuals convenience. In general, people have 15 day vacation every year in order to release their pressure, not only physical stress but also psychological stress. Citizens can travel anywhere they want by air so that they can have a sufficient rest and fulfil their own potential when they come back to work. To sum up, we may safely draw the conclusion that flights, such as tourist or travelling, still play a vital role in our life. Even though we limited some flights, the environmental issues would not be solved completely. In other words, flight is not the only reason that causes the environmental pollution. Governments also would be well-advised to beware of other aspects, such as industrial factories since they exhaust pollutant as well, so as to ameliorate the environment.
