The issue of anything that is not obviously practical has little value in today's world is a controversial one. On the one hand,many people, since they maintain that practicality is now our great idol in this phlegmatic society, believe that doing anything that is not obviously practical waste time and energy. On the other hand, others, for they assume that something that seems unpractical today may be practical in the further, believe that it is essential and significant to do those are not obviously practical. Despite the assorted effusions to the contrary, in my point of view, the final judgement should depend on the case-to-case analysis. First and the foremost, at risk of being think too simplistic, the main proposition of me can be summarized in one saying that it is essential and profound to deal with something that is not obviously practical in the present-day in respect that something that somewhat is not obviously practical now may be practical ,or even is significant, in further. Let's bring the discussion here to the more practical and present context, the history is replete with evidence to illustrate my opinion. In Chinese history, Qing Dynasty is a lesson for all of us, the regulators in Qing Dynesty did not recognize the practicality of the modern science and advanced technology, they refused most of the technology that came from the West and only spared no efforts to develop the agriculture and traditional industries, however, the advanced technology that seemed not practical was the essential factors to change the world and it was ignoring these technology China lagged behind the world for more than 100 years. Form the personal perspective, the other reason why I advocate the something that is not obviously practical has value in today's world because the these things may prompt the development of the world potentially. For example, the astronomy, no matter from the mental or from the material seems does not bring any benefit for the us , however, it is development of the astronomy, the development advanced science and technology which have significant effect on our daily life, for instance the idea of the new energy vehicles was stemmed from the astronomy, can be ameliorated and motivated. However, it is undisputed that not all of the things that obviously practical has value in today's world, for example, the concept to develop the perpetual motion machine, even though some people insist that researching on that will reduce the pressure of the resource in the further ,which violates the commonsense is ignorance and ridiculous. To conclude, something but not all of them , for it may can make contribution to the further, that is not obviously practical has value in today's world.
