And China, a developing country, lacks of words referring to so many foreign words, so it has to use foreign words directly. Some people say it can cause the mistake of ideographic function of the Chinese language and it is necessary to purify the Chinese language at present, but I don’t think so. First of all, we can’t refuse the new technology because we need it to help us catch up with developed countries, and it is certain that we don’t have specific names to name them. If we purify the Chinese language, we may use long words to describe foreign things and I believe this can make it more complex when we talk. Secondly, in my opinion, it is unnecessary to worry about this phenomenon, on the one hand, look back on history, there have been so many culture absorbed by China, and it doesn’t matter. On the other hand, it just a matter of time with which Chinese people can come up with perfect translations. In conclusion, I don’t think it’s necessary to purify the Chinese language at present, and all we need is some time.
