Qu Yuan temple,in memory of a great poet's deep love for his country,is the most interesting place I want to introduce to my foreign friend.Although the Three Gorges Dam is known to the world and it has a higher fame than Qu Yuan temple ,for most foreign friends ,Qu Yuan Temple stands for more than a dam in cultrure .Concrete reasons are listed below. First,through visiting the temple ,my friend will acquire more konwledge about ancient Chinese history in Warring States.In the temple ,many rooms are used for showing Qu Yuan's stories in that period .So these stories could arouse my friend's interest. Second,now the temple stands on a hill named Fenghuang Hill ,the surroundings around which is quite beautiful.The temple sits in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere and all sorts of brids sing all the day.It combines clssical buildings with natural beauty,which makes people relaxed. Third,this ancient building represents a king of spirit which affects countless people by a sort of devoted love for people.Qu Yuan's death is related to this spirit and it is the spirit that forms a part of culture of our nation.So dosen't the temple appeal to my foreign friend? Qu Yuan Temple ,I think ,occupies a unique position in my mind and it is a symbol of my lovely hometown.
