Four Types of Readers In the campus, the library is no doubt a popular place among us students, on which many students choose to read books. Once I read in the library, I have observed that four types of readers can be divided into: the learner, the lover, the builder and the idler. Sitting in the library, I found that some students reading from morning to evening with many books on professional lie on the table in front of them. These students often read with note taking and some times they would like to recite some wonderful passages. Also, it seems that they have their own world as they put their heart and soul into the books and nothing can disturb them even you have stood beside then half an hour. These students are the type of learner and they read only because it is the requirement of study. When I was too tired to read, I looked up to enjoy the scenery outside the window and at that time another group of students jumped into my eyes. They often sit by a window with only a book on their hand. They only read the book they interested in and unlike learner’s regular the time they read is go-as-they-please. Note taking is not necessary for they as they choose to remember what they appreciate by their heart. So, they are the type of lover who read books attract them. In addition to those two kinds of readers, there is another type--the builder who read for the reason that they want to promote their self-training. Those readers have a passion for poetry anthology, history or any other books that can improve self quality culture. Those books are not they interested, but is the one they can benefit from. The last kind of reader is the idler who read only because they have nothing to do. Many of us students do not like reading as we have many other choices such as playing games, sports and watching movies, which are so interesting, by contrast, reading is time --consuming and boring. So those students read for they don’t have other choices and reading can help them to kill the time. People read for various reasons but they still read, thus it can be seen that reading is worthy. And why do not we read gladly as we always read.
