Although phone calls have advantages over letter writing, for example, they are much faster when we ask others for help, and people can also hear the voice. But we are afraid of being refused, at this time, letters can do us a favor, because we give the other side time and space to consider and we won’t feel lose our face. Under those situations, we do these things by writing letters can avoid embarrassment and awkwardness, and writing letters is really a good way to solve our problems like these. Secondly, phone calls just last for a few minutes, while letters can be kept for a long time. Just imaging this when you are old, you find some letters in the deepest of the draw and you read them, a lot of beautiful and sweet memories flooding into your mind. Also, we will remember who helped you, who loved you, who concerned you. What an unforgettable feeling it is! And I believe, this feeling is something that you can definitely never experience through several phone calls. All in all, writing letters will never be replaced by phone in people's daily life. It is not just an envelope, but our nice memories. Witting letters are more emotional than phone calls, and it can exist in our whole life and company us forever. I find the statement that phone calls will kill writing letters to be too narrow. It's perhaps more appropriate to say that they supplement each other instead of replacing each other.
