Nowadays,it's a normal phenomenon that many Chinese parents do everything for their children.Since the day they were born,parents have already set plans for their children's whole life.It seems that these parents live for their children but not for themselves.So how should parents help children be independent?Here are some advice. First of all,emphasise the importance of independence.One of the reasons why children depend on their parents so much is that they don't realise the importance of independence in their life.Tell the children that their parents won't stay with them for their whole life and if they don't know how to take care of themselves,they will lead a very hard life in the future. Second,let the children do the available things by themselves.Most of time,parents do everything by themselves just because they are not confident about their children.Giving the children a chance is a way to show your trust.Hold the belief that they are old enough to deal with problems and just wait and see. Finallly,share your own experience.Your stories are good examples for your children.Tell them how you earned money by yourselves in your young age,which may probably inspire your children to be independent. To conclude,if parents give enough chances to their children,there is no need to worry about their independence.
