But a few areas still lagged behind owing to economic, social, historical, natural and other constraints. During the process of making commitments to the all-round economic and social development, the Chinese government has implemented the large-scale planned and organized poverty alleviation program in the whole country. The program aims at solving the food and clothing problems for the poor. It ended up relieving poverty to a great extent.
