In recently years, there has a phenomenon that the neglecting of the study of Chinese when students accomplish their study. Such a shift brought on great worries among people because it is not good for the development of the Chinese culture. There may be several reasons account for this phenomenon could happen. First and foremost, the globalizations lead to greatly stimulating the spread of foreign culture. Second, college students are forced to study foreign language to pass exams or get a good job opportunity. Last but not least, schools have no strict demand on students’ study of Chinese. It is without a doubt that neglecting the study of Chinese would lose our traditional culture. And also Chinese people may lose their culture identity in such a competitive world. In my opinion, due attention should be given to the study of Chinese in order to change the phenomenon. To begin with, the government should put more attention on the development of the Chinese traditional culture to make more people proud of it. Besides, our educational departments should attach importance to teaching the Chinese language. Through these efforts, I think, will change this phenomenon.
