It was shown in the Figure that life expectancy in 1960 was lower than 40 years old while that in 1990 was approaching 60 years old and on the other hand, the infant mortality in 1960 was about 19% and that in 1990 is 9%. Longer life expectancy and lower infant mortality in 1990 than in 1960 are clearly indicated. During the 30 years between 1960 and 1990, the living condition and medical scienses had changed dramatically. Many diseases that could not be cured in 1960 could be treated in 1990. The mothers can receive better health care and nutritional conditions when they give birth to the infants in 1990 than 1960. It is expected that as the science developes and the living condition goes better the life expectancy would be even longer and the infant mortality lower and lower.
