With the development of the Internet, the catering industry and the Internet have continually interpenetrated with each other. O2O mode is bound to become the future model for group-buying sites. After analyzing all above data, the author summerises the current situation of demestic group-buying sites. Catering has become the main business of most group-buying sites.There are larege potential customres for online catering industry. However,most sites rely on capital inverstment coming from Internt giants like Tencent, JD.com and have large geographical limitations. All group-buying sites are transitting into O2O platforms. Under this circumsatance, there are five common problems for all the group-buying sites which are moving into O2O model: (1)Higher goods homogenization, lowerbarriers to entry. Most websites in the market sell similar products, so people can easily find a substancial product once they are not satisfied with the prcie or service. More than 5000 sites exist in the market at its peak time. (2Reception capacity less than expectancy. Merchants and websites don’t limit the number of consumer.(3)Hard to control service quality. Group-buying sites only take charge of marketing and sales. Restaurants can’t promise a good service.(3)Low customer viscosity. Group-buying sites sell similar products. Thus people would choose cheap product.(5)Lack of effective feedback. Customers don’t like to share real feelings though the evaluation system and usually write meanlingless words . In this paper, the author put forward several suggestion for Meituan:(1)Precise positioning,diversified services. It should take different strategies to meet different people’s needs.(2)Reasonable price,preminum services. Extremly low price may atract customers for a short time, but is not good for the development of the group-buying site.(3) Strategic Corporation. It should coorporate with restaurants and design unique products. (4)Unconditional refund. Meituan should build a convient system for customers to get their money back once they have no time to use it or don’t like it. Due to the time limitation, the analysis doesn’t go futher about the customers’ needs on the online catering industry. If the author can expolre them, the suggestion would be more pertinence.
