The student union is launching a campaign against drunken driving in the city and participation in the activity will be totally on voluntary basis. We want you to join us as volunteers. In view of the ever-increasing car accidents and deaths caused by drinking driving over the past 5 years,the campaign is designed to help car drivers to be aware of the danger of drunken driving,promote responsible driving and urge the local authorities to introduce a designated driver program. We are going to print posters and pamphlets,make banners and signs and send petition letters to the officials of local government. The tasks also include posting posters on streets,distributing the pamphlets among car drivers and mailing the letters to local officials. The event will last ten days,from July 10 to 19,2006. Any students of this school who are physically energetic,mentally enthusiastic about public affairs and socially committed to local road safety and awareness of drunken driving are eligible for the the event.
