Having a glimpse of the current situation around world, we may marvel at the rapid development of our society distinguished from the past. There is an interestingly strange phenomenon happened in our daily life. The number of young people who choose to work and live in the large metropolis is increasingly large. This is followed by a hotly debated topic that living in a rural area is better than living in the big cities which are both crowded and busy. From my point of view, living in the urban area could provide people with more benefits and brings us with convenience. To begin with, in terms of career and study, living in big cities means that there will be more opportunities. With support from government and preference of foreign enterprises, the economy of big cities is absolutely better than that of rural area. The more people live in the city, the larger the local market will be. Young people who want to seek a decent job will have more opportunities if they decide to live in the big cities. A young man named Carlos has just failed in the college entrance examination few days ago, and his families could not afford his reattempt. Living in the sheer poverty, he only had one option at that time. Without much consideration, he packed up and started out his new journey to Beijing, a place embraced thousands of job opportunities. It is undeniable that he could also find a job in his hometown but the salary is very low compared to that of big cities. On the contrary, his job in Beijing not only could could afford the tuition fees of his two little brothers in college but also helped him to save a lot for his wedding expenditure. The comparison between rural and urban area is so obvious that attract many people to seize opportunities in big cities. Besides, more convenience brought by urban life enable people to live more comfortably and easily. The quality of core facilities in a big city is always better that that of small village and town. It is often seen from the news report that children in small village could not be well-educated due to the lack of educational resources, the imbalanced distribution of teachers, as well as the financial condition. The old and the patient could not get well treatment in small hospitals. Yet people live in big cities enjoy all the benefits such as high quality education, perfect health system, and convenient transportation equipped with metro, bus, taxi etc. Recently, a little boy in a small town who cut his finger accidentally was delivered to a big hospital where was far away from his town. Thanks to the experienced medical personnel, his finger was saved. It is not that the doctors in the boy's hometown did not want to save his life but that they could not have an operation in such a poor medical condition. On the other hand, considering the worsening environment of big cities, living in rural area is indeed healthier for old people. The environmental pollution of urban cities is becoming increasingly serious nowadays. Take Beijing for an example. People have to wear a mask when they go to work or school for a couple of days. The local government was confused with the smog problem for a long time and several actions have been taken to come grips with the problem. My uncle purchased a villa in the countryside near Beijing and he always claimed that the blue sky decorated by white clouds asked him to stay there for the rest of his life. "No smog, no noise, no troublesome stuff!" He seemed to be very proud of his decision. While the natural environment of rural area is perfect I still prefer to live in big cities and I believe that government will solve the environmental problem one day. In conclusion, people could get more job opportunities and convenient lives by living in big cities. It's up to us to find a dreamed place which is suited to ourselves.
