Should Private Car Owners Be Taxed For Pollution? Nowadays as the development of people's living standards, private car has become the fundamentally traffic tool. Consequently, it has contributed to the air pollution and deteriorated the condition of environment. So the officers are arguing about putting a pollution tax on private cars. Someone think it is a good idea to protect the environment, while others regard it as a redundant duty. From my point of view, it could be practical for the following three reasons. First and foremost, by putting this tax on the gas emission of private cars, people will consider the cost when they plan to have travel by their car, and they may decide to go to a trip by bus instead of by the private car. This can form an awareness of environment protection in people's minds. Meanwhile, by enacting the pollution tax, the amount of gas emission will definitely drop. As a result, the air would be fresher and people will not suffer from the disease caused by the polluted air. Furthermore, it is our responsibility to do our part in the protection of envionment. Everyone living the earth should care our surroundings and consider the outlook of the planet. In conclusion, the tax not only decreases the amount of emission but also protects the environment. So it is a good idea to implement this regulation.
