It is universally known that human activities have exerted negative effect on plants and animal species. Some people believe that it is too late to change this situation, while others disapprove. To my view, although our environment is damaged, it's not too late to be improved. Those who claim that nothing can be done to this problem may cite that environmental effects can never be altered. The natural food chain is a whole circle, if one specie is endangered or even die out, it not only exerts impacts on itself, but also on other animals plants that feed on it. During the past several centuries, many dozens of plants and animal species have become endangered or extincted due to the irreplaceable effects human activities have caused on our environment. Many who are still alive are faced with decreasing number of inhabitants and sources of food. However, people who believe it's not too late would argue that our environmental problem is not as serious as it appears. First of all, species extinction is a natural selection such as dinosaurs. Besides, scientists now and then find new species nowadays. Secondly, even though the number of endangered species increases, they are still only a small portion of the whole plants and animals. Furthermore, the fact that human activities have caused adverse impacts on plants and animals should only encourage us to take actions to fix it rather than watching it get worse. From my perspective, environmental issues are pretty serious in many parts of the world. It is our responsibility to make our earth a better living environment because of what we have done. Plants and animal protection zones should be reserved to reduce the human influence. At the same time, relative laws should be set to give heavy penalty to those who dare violate the rules. In conclusion, human activities have exerted many negative effects on plants and animal species. It may take hundreds of years to change this situation.Yet, it's never too late to begin.
