According to a recent survey, about 25% college students are doing odd jobs. In summer, the number of part-time workers will increase to 72%. The usual odd jobs for college students are as follows: tutor, waitors, customer, and so on. The reason why they choose such jobs maybe as follows: They want to earn extra money to pay a part of the increasing tuition day by day. Besides, they would like to be independent in economy, which can let them buy the things they want. In my opinion, it is meaningful for the college students to find a job. They can not only reduce the burden of their parents to some degree, but also acquire some social experience before they enter to the society after graduation.
