作者能较熟练地使用词汇表达，一些学术词汇的使用也比较灵活；句法知识很棒，若增加一些从句的使用，文章会更出色；语言不流畅；连词使用偏少。

There were 3 instruments used for the present research, which were a test, compositions and an oral interview. This test mainly focused on the basic knowledge of English grammar, including countable nouns use and uncountable nouns use. After the test, we could know grade eight students’ basic knowledge generally. The test consisted of 15 items. All the students were required to finish this test without any helpful materials. The test sample was presented below: I have been waiting for 3 ___. A. hour B. hours C.the hour D.the hours The other way was to choose 100 compositions which were from 100 grade eight students. These compositions were from their monthly exams. An interview was conducted. Ten students participated in it, and they were five boys and five girls. It was going in one-to-one way. Questions would be asked , such as, “ how they felt about their basic knowledge of English grammar”, “did you think it was important to master the single and plural forms of nouns”. Two teachers were also involved to answer such question like, “what caused these errors in your opinion”.
